Employment reference — Mr. Gareth O. Simms, Finishing Line Coordinator

Mr. Gareth Simms was employed by Northmoor Industrial Group, Inc. from 14 August 2020 to 5 October 2026, latterly as Finishing Line Coordinator at our Lyell Avenue plant in Rochester, New York. His employment ended because the second-shift finishing line was closed and his position was made redundant. It did not end for any reason connected with his conduct or performance.

Mr. Simms was responsible for the second-shift finishing operation: a crew of nine, the powder coat line and the two blast cabinets, together with the associated quality records. He planned the shift's work against the daily release schedule, signed off first-piece inspections and maintained the process logs that support our ISO 9001 certification.

He is a careful and unusually consistent record keeper. During our 2024 recertification audit, the finishing records were the only area to close with no observations, which the auditor commented on in the closing meeting. He also rebuilt the line's changeover procedure in 2023, taking the average changeover from fifty-two minutes to thirty-one, a result that has held since.

He is well regarded by the crew he supervised and by the maintenance group he depended on. He raised safety concerns promptly and more than once stopped the line rather than run a doubtful batch, which is the behaviour we want and do not always get. He took two weeks' certificated absence in 2025 and his attendance was otherwise unremarkable.

I would re-employ Mr. Simms without hesitation if a comparable position arose, and I recommend him to any employer needing a supervisor who can hold a process to a standard and document it properly.

I am happy to speak to any prospective employer directly on the number below.

Yours faithfully,
